He couldn't help but keep his eyes closed at the beginning of Ciara taking off. Shortly after he found that he felt safe enough to open them as it
hardly felt like they were moving at all. Smiling slightly, somewhat of a half-cocked smile, Gavin couldn't help but state the obvious.
"Praise be, thank y'Ciara for driving as if there are lives in this car."
They arrived relatively shortly at headquarters, and looking around as Ciara asked if everyone was whole, Gavin looked down to make sure and looked up
to see that she was looking at him with the question.
"Indeed, and follow me please."
Gavin hated to be walking about and flew just about every where, so naturally he took off towards the elevator doors in flight, and
had fully intended on phasing through the doors and flying up, but his concentration was on Ciara, thinking of the way she spoke and looked, and it
was about that time that he smacked into the frame just above the elevator and fell to the ground with light impact, much like a fly would once it was
swatted from the skies. So, he didn't have this phasing thing down completely, and maybe if his mind had been more on the sensation of phasing than
Ciara he could have made it and not looked like a fool, but nevertheless he would eventually recover.
Grunting slightly, without looking up as he still lay on the floor, he trailed his hand up the frame of the elevator until it found the "Call"
button, and pressed it. Laying there a few more seconds he stood shakily, brushing himself off. Cursing silently to himself, he merely looked back,
unaware of the red mark down the center of his face from the impact.
"So anyways, you'll find that it's a really cool building, I was overly impressed on my first day."
Maybe they didn't see it. They probably did, but a little bit of denial never hurt anyone. Dawn would be the obvious one in the situation, he just
knew it, looking at her with a pleading face he quickly changed it to be smiling at everyone.
